On October 16, 2017, Maltese investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia was murdered by a car bomb. DCG, as it was and is often referred to in the Maltese media, published, among other things, its own research into the “Panama Papers”, the massive leak that revealed a global network of offshore companies in 2016.
Using the example of a courageous journalist who paid for her commitment to the truth with her life, “Daphne’s Garden” deals with a phenomenon that is currently attracting the greatest attention in many countries around the world, including Austria: corruption.

Vanessa geht zu den walen

When she comes across a report on the Internet that a whale had died in the Philippines with 40 kilos of plastic waste, Vanessa sets out to save the whales in distant waters from a similar fate. She not only meets a number of obscure characters, but essentially herself. She has to go through a lot in this encounter, but in the end she emerges mature from a difficult inner struggle amidst a deluge of images and dubious encounters. Strengthened and still undeterred, she moves towards her goal, which is nothing less than saving the planet.
